I Isaac McClendon of the State of Georgia and County of Jasper being in a low State of bodily health, but of sound mind and memory and calling to mind the mortality of my body, do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner + form following 1st I will that all my just debts be punctuality paid. 2nd And whereas I have already given unto my son Ethelred McClendon, one lot of land number twenty four in the sixteenth district formerly Baldwin, now Jasper County I do hereby confirm the same unto him the said Ethelred his heirs and assigns forever. I likewise confirm unto him his heirs and assigns forever one horse, one cow and calf and one feather bed which I have already delivered unto him. 3rd And whereas I did also give unto my son Allen five hundred dollars for the purpose of purchasing lot number thirty eight in the sixteenth district, formerly Baldwin now Jasper County, and which he also purchased with said money. I do hereby confirm the same unto him the said Allen his heirs and assigns forever; I likewise confirm unto him, his heirs and assigns forever, one horse and cow and calf, and in feather bed, which I have already given him. 4th And further I do likewise confirm unto my son Wylie F. a tract of land number twenty two in the sixteenth district formerly Baldwin, now Jasper County, which I have already given unto him his heirs + assigns forever; I likewise confirm unto him and his heirs and assigns forever, one horse, one cow and calf, and one feather bed, which I have already given unto him likewise one hundred dollars which is to make his land equal with his brothers. 5th I do likewise confirm unto my son Jonathan his heirs and assigns forever, fourteen hundred dollars, which I have already paid him, and eight hundred and sixty four dollars, for which he has my note, due on the 25th day of December next, and likewise one horse, which he has received; I also will unto him one cow and calf, and one feather bed, which he has not received. PAGE 226 Ordinary Office Jasper County -------------------------------------------------------------------- 6th I do likewise will unto my son Freeman, one lot of land number nine in the sixteenth district formally Baldwin now Jasper County, which I confirm unto him his heirs and assigns forever, I like confirm unto him one horse which he has already received, also one cow and calf, and one feather bed, which he has not received. 7th I do likewise confirm unto my son James one horse which I have already given him, likewise one cow + calf and one feather bed which he has not received. 8th I do likewise will and bequeath unto my sons Jeremiah and Jesse one horse, one feather bed, and one cow + calf each which they have not received. 9th I will unto my three sons James, Jeremiah and Jesse the two lots of land whereon I now live, to wit number eight and number twenty three, in the sixteenth district formerly Baldwin, now Jasper County, with all the rights and priviledges thereunto belonging to be equally divided between them their heirs and assigns forever. 10th I will unto my daughter Bethiah Martin, her heirs + assigns forever, a negro girl named Lucy, which she has already received, also one feather bed + furniture and one cow and calf, which she has likewise received. 11th I will unto my daughter Elizabeth Marcy, one negro girl, named Sally and her children, and likewise one feather bed and one cow and calf, all of which she has already received, and which I do hereby confirm unto her, her heirs and assigns forever. 12th I will unto my daughter Polly Pearson, her heirs and assigns forever one cow and calf and one feather bed which she has already received and likewise four hundred dollars in money which she has not received. 13th I will unto my daughter Sally Loyall, one negro girl named Delilah, one cow and calf, and one feather bed which she has already received, and which I hereby confirm unto her heirs and assigns forever; I do likewise will unto her, one hundred and twenty five dollars in money, which she has not received. 14th I will unto my daughter Senah one feather bed and one cow and calf, which she has already received, and which I confirm unto her, heirs and assigns forever and PAGE 227 Ordinary Office Jasper County -------------------------------------------------------------------- Likewise twenty five dollars, which she has not yet received but which is to be paid her in money. 15th I will unto my daughter Deodima Fincher two hundred and fifty dollars or there about, one cow and calf, and one feather bed, which she has not already received, and which I do hereby confirm unto her heirs and assigns forever and likewise two hundred dollars in money which she has not yet received. 16th I will unto my daughter Cinthia, her heirs and assigns forever one negro girl named Dillah, one feather bed and one cow and calf which she has not received 17th I will unto mmy daughter Elethy one negro girl named Lucinda, one feather bed, one cow and calf, and fifty dollars in money, which she has not received, and which I confirm unto her heirs and assigns forever. 18th I will that my three sons, Ethelred, Allen + Wylie as my executors do lend unto my daughter Senah McKleroy a negro girl named Sophia, and that should said Senah ever have a child or children; the said Sophia and her issue shall be given unto it or them and their heirs; but should said Senah die childless, the said Sophia to be divided equally amongst all my children. 19th I lend unto my beloved wife Mary five negroes to wit, Ben, Jack, Bob, Ede and Aggra, my stock of horses, cattle, hogs, geese, household + kitchene furniture, plantation tools, all the balance of my estate reserving all the property which is willed to my children above and likewise that my wife shall pay all the legacies left to my children in money out of the produce or profits of my estate, that she shall not waste any part thereof, nor make any other use of the property or theprofit issuing there from, excepting only as sufficient to support her during her widowhood.
