Wulborn the subscribing witnesses to the same and said will being admitted to record order that letters testamentary be granted to Carlton G. Smith and that Henry Ledbetter, William Ledbetter, Mathew Whitfield, Rubin M. Rainey & Anderson Worthy be appointed appraisers of said estate. Note: There was no will listed in the Will Index book at the Jasper Co. Courthouse. Anyone with knowledge of the existence/whereabouts of a will or knowledge of any of the above named individuals, please contact me. Jasper County Court of Ordinary, Monday 5th May 1828, (pp. 200) Whereas Carlton G. Smith Executor has made application in terms of the law for leave to sell the Real Estate of Thomas Thames decd. And no cause having been shown to the contrary Whereupon it is ordered by the Court that fifty acres of land in said County in the ___ District being a part of Lot No. ___ be sold according to law for the benefit of said decd. Note: The district nor the lot number were given in the above instrument. I could not locate a deed either where any property was purchased by Thomas Thames in Jasper Co. nor where the fifty acres was being sold as part of the estate of Thomas Thames in Jasper Co.
