                     Mrs. Lois E. Beaty
 Mrs. Lois E. Beaty, 70, died Thursday afternoon at her residence after a 
short illness.
 She was a native of Jeff Davis County but resided in Waycross most of her 
life. She was a member of a Baptist church. Her husband was the late Johnnie 
Beaty and her parents were the late Riley Lee Rowell and Margaret Cleo Rowland 
Rowell.
 She is survived by three sons, Robert Beaty, Johnnie Lamar Beaty, and Donnie 
G. Beaty, all of Waycross; two sisters, Pearlie Mae Steverson of St. Marys and 
Lurlyne Chancey of Waycross; a brother, Offie L. Rowell of Blackshear; six 
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and 
other relatives.
 A funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday at the Liberty Baptist Church 
near Hazlehurst.
 The family is receiving friends tonight at the funeral home from 7 until 9 
o'clock.

 The funeral for Lois Edither Beaty, 70, was held Saturday morning in the 
Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chester Chancey officiating.
 Burial was at the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Hazlehurst.
