The Atlanta Semi-Weekly Journal, Atlanta, GA., April 22, 1910
Hazlehurst, Ga. -- Mr. Benjamin Brantley, one of the most highly respected 
citizens of Jeff Davis county, died here Sunday night from an attack of typhoid 
fever, and was buried at Satilla church yesterday afternoon, with Masonic 
honors.  He was about 50 years of age, and leaves a wife and several children.
