                      Lurlyne Rowell Chancey
 Mrs. Lurlyne Rowell Chancey, 64, died suddenly Monday night, Aug. 28, 2000, 
at the Satilla Regional Medical Center.
 She was a Hazlehurst native but resided in Waycross most of her life. She 
attended the Hosanna Church and was a former employee of the King Edward cigar 
factory and Western Sizzlin' and Golden Corral restaurants. Her parents were 
the late Riley Rowell and Margaret Cleo Rowland Rowell Carey.
 She is survived by her husband, Charles Chancey, Waycross; a daughter, Stella 
Charlyne Chancey, Waycross; two sons and daughters-in-law, David Leon and 
Marsha Chancey, Blackshear and Robert Lavell and Carole Chancey of Yulee, 
Fla.; her stepmother, Isabell Rowell of Hazlehurst; a brother, Offie Lamar 
Rowell of Blackshear; a sister, Pearlie Mae Steverson of St. Marys; four 
grandchildren, Erica Paige Chancey David Benjamin Chancey, Margaret Leulyne 
Chancey, and Culier Lavell Chancey; a step-grandson, John Timothy Bennett and 
three step-great-grandchildren.
 A funeral service is planned for 11am Friday in the Music Funeral Home 
chapel. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
 The family will receive friends tonight (Wednesday) from 7 until 9 o'clcock 
at the funeral home.
