Cribbs, 77, of Chapmans Convalescent Home, Hazlehurst, who died Tuesday at Wheeler County Hospital after an extended illness, were held Thursday at 3pm at Wainright and Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Chavis officiating. Interment was in Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Cribbs was a native of Johnson County, Ga. and had resided in Jeff Davis County for a number of years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Elbert Cribbs of Alma; three sons, William Wood of Baxley, J. A. Wood of Macon, and A. J. Wood of Orlando, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Inez Arnold of Reidsville; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Toler of Hazlehurst and Mrs. Luketta Smith of Macon; two brothers, Carlos Foskey and Homer Foskey, both of Hazlehurst; 38 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers were grandsons, D. L. Wood, Grady Wood, Dannie Lee Wood, Lonnie Wood, Roger Arnold, and Donnie Arnold. Wainright and Parlor Funeral Home of Hazlehurst was in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Annie was born 5-1-1899 to George Franklin "Frank" Foskey and Inez C. Warren Foskey.
