                            Mrs. Flora Bohannon Salvo
 Services for Mrs. Flora Bohannon Salvo, 92, of 102-B Capitol Avenue, who died 
Tuesday at Jeff Davis Hospital after an extended illness were held at 
Hazlehurst Church of God. The Rev. Earl Merritt, Rev. Joe Mincy and the Rev. 
Jerry Greer officiated with burial in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
 Mrs. Salvo, a native of Jeff Davis County, had lived in Hazlehurst most of 
her life. She was the daughter of the late James L. Bohannon and Saphronie 
Hand Bohannon. She was a homemaker and member of Hazlehurst Church of God.
 Survivors include six daughters, Lula Mae Davis, Irene Taylor, and Mrs. 
Vesper Selph, all of Hazlehurst, Bertie Riner of Perry, Emma Lyon of Cabot, 
Ark., and Janice Thomas of Tallahasse, Fla.; a son, Lewis Owen of Uvalda; 
brother, Issac "Ike" Bohannon of Hazlehurst; four sisters, Myrtle Anderson, 
Sallie Mae Bryant, Elizabeth Lytle, and Isabelle Rowell, all of Hazlehurst; 22 
grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
 Active pallbearers were Kelly Anderson, Ronnie Carelock, Larry McEachin, R. 
W. Kerns, Ray Jowers, and Joe Burns.
 Honorary pallbearers were Dr. David Shumans, George Turner, Walter Herndon, 
Steve Dixon, E. W. Curtis, Buck Herndon, Raleigh Renfroe, Marcus Trowell, 
Talmadge Anderson, Steve Sellers, and Donnie Spell.
 Musical selections were rendered by the Rev. Joe Mincy and the church choir.
 Wainright and Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.

Additional Comments:
Flora was born 1 Jul 1900. Her second husband was George Durant Foskey who is 
also buried in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery. Georgia death certificate 
#018399.
