Deed of Micajah Paulk (1733-1812) shows that he gave a slave boy, Steven Paulk,
to his son, Micajah Paulk (1772-1847).  Date: 1805  Jefferson Co., GA.

Record:  Jefferson Co. deed records  (book E, pg. 151), shows the record of a
bill of sale (as a gift)  from Micajah Paulk of Jefferson Co., to his "loving
son, Micajah Paulk, of the County of Montgomery, state of Georgia" on Feb. 2,
1804, of a 15 month old slave boy named Stephen.

This infant slave would have been named Stephen Paulk who was born around 1803
since he was 15 months old on Feb. 2, 1804
