    A  few nights  ago  a  real  Ku-klux  , disguised  in  white  sheet &c. , 
hailed  at  the  gate  of  a  highly respectable white  lady near  No. 
11 ,CRR. He  ordered  the  lady  to  state to  a  freeman  in  the  
neighborhood,  that  he  must  leave  the  wife  he  was  living with  and  
associate  himself  with  another  wife  he  formally  had. The  lady  
thought  she  recognized  the  voice , and  also  thought  the Ku-Klux  at  
the  gate was the  man  that  must  leave  one  wife  and  cleave  to  
another. However  ahe  dilivered  the  message  to  the  man  of  two  wifes 
and  become (sic) conviced  that  he  was  the Ku-Klux . He  was  arrested  
and  tried  before  a  Justice  court. He  owed  the  corn , stateing  that  
he  wanted  to  leave  his  wife and  if  he  could  get  an  order  from  
the  Ku-Klux  that  it  all  would  be  right . So  he  delivered the  order  
to  the  lady. He  also  stated  an  oath  that  one  Mike Lamb , a  white  
man, and  once  a  candidate  for  the  office of  Representives  of  
Jefferson  county ,  had  organized  a  negro  band  of  Ku-Klux  and  
commited some  depredations . he  gave  several  names  of  persons belonging  
to  the  klan. These  names  will  do  doubt  be  sent to  the  Governor 
Bullock and  of  course  several  thousnd  dollors  word  of  Rewards will  
be  handed  to  somebody.
