Only one case of the former , as yet however , and probabilities are that it will not spread much . Mr. W. A McCarty one of the enterprising merchants of Sandersville , and proprietor of the Augusta store in this place , spent two or three days in our town this week. While all the county papers are parading the big results achieved by their agriculturists , have the farmers of Jefferson been laggards , that we hear nothing from them? Mr. Hall has sold over four carloads of horses in Jefferson county this season. Does this show signs of progress , or is it an unfavorable sign for the times?
