Dr. John Oliver Kelly, 52 yrs old, physician & druggist, died 10/31/1935, 
Avera, GA. Born in Jefferson Co. Graduated from Southern College of Pharmacy, 
Atlanta, in 1904. Served two years on the faculty of the college. Finished his 
medical education at Emory University Medical school 1908. Interned in Grady 
Hospital.  Member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist church, Stapleton Masonic, Phi 
Chi fraternity.  
Funeral: 11/3/1935, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Rev. J. G. Page officiated, 
Rev. R. K. Chambers assisted. 
Burial: church cemetery.
