He was 87 years old. Mr. Whigham was born October 5, 1881, the son of the late Mr. Nathan M. Whigham and the late Mrs. Sallie Denny Whigham. A lifelong resident of Louisville, he was President of the Louisville Fertilizer and Gin Company. He at one time was a partner in a Tractor and Farm Implement firm. He was a charter member of the Louisville Kiwanis Club and an Elder of the Louisville Associated Reformed Presbyterian Church. Mr. Whigham was a former president of the Georgia Seed Crushers Association. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. O. H. Beall, Sr., Louisville; three nieces, Mrs. Joe E. Beverly, Atlanta; Mrs. Edward Sims, Annapolis, MD., and Mrs. O. H. Beall, Jr. Louisville. Three nephews, Mr. Sam J. Whigham, Jr., and Mr. Robert S. Whigham, both of Atlanta, and Mr. William D. Whigham, Albany, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 4 p. m. this afternoon (Thursday) at the Louisville Associated Reformed Presbyterian Church and the Rev. Lonnie Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in the Louisville Cemetery. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Bethea Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
