News and Farmer Jan. 24, 1929
Mr. Amus Thigpen died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J.C. Williams near 
Avera last Saturday, Jan. 12th. He was 86 years old at the time of his death. 
He was laid to rest at Pleasant Grove on Sunday.
