This picture is from the Rev. Russell RENEAU (1807-1865) and Elizabeth 
STOCKTON (1810-1888) Family Picture Album.  Rev. RENEAU was a Presiding Elder 
in the GA and AR Conferences of the Methodist Church.  His oldest daughter, 
Mary Jane RENEAU (1830-1912) married Robert W. DANIEL, Esq. (1809-1865) of 
Bethany, Jefferson County, GA on 23 Mar 1852 in Jefferson County, GA.  I am 
sure the marriage was performed by Rev. RENEAU but have no confirmation of 
that. 
This picture was taken in Savannah, probably in 1863, when Robert and Mary 
Jane attended the funeral of her grandfather, the Hon. Louis O. RENEAU, Esq. 
(1784-1863) in Savannah.  He died on 17 Apr 1863 and I assume this was about 
when the picture was taken.
