Son Geraldus Extrs: Brother Joseph King and wife Unity King WILL Known all men by these Presents that I, Charles King of Jefferson County in the State of Georgia, being in my right mind, though afflicted in my body, considering the shortness and uncertainty of life and the certainty of death, do by this my Last Will and Testament, do commit my soul unto God my Creator Reedeemer and Sanctifire, in hope and trust that Gos will have mercy upon me, and save my soul for Christ's sake Amen. I bequeath and will all my Land in Jefferson County to be equally divided between my wife and two sons, Rufus and Michael King, to be divided when the oldest of them, namely Rufus is of age. I will and bequeath to my beloved wife My Negro name Ben and to my son Geraldus, my Negro Wench Hannah. I will and bequeath to my Daughter Isabel, my Negrow boy Larry(?), and bed and furniture whenever she is of age, or gets married. To my son Rufus I bequeath my Negro boy Shepherd, and my son Michael I bequeath my Negroe boy Lewis; and I bequeath to my three sons already named on the face of this Will a Bed apiece when they become of age. There is one hundred and twenty nine dollars owing to my in the hands of Thomas D. King of North Carolina, Sampson County, also, in the hands of James Broadhusk eighty Dollars, for which I have his Note, both which sums are to pay a part a debt which I owe to Mr. John Bostick, Jefferson County Georgia; A Negro Wench named Nan(?) a Wagon, and gears and sorrel Mare called Peg, and a bay Horse named Dolan to be sold in order to pay the forsaid debt of four hundred Dollars which I owe to John Bostick; and the overplus to be equally divided between my son Geraldus, and my Daughter Isabel. All other property belonging to me, and not mentioned in this will I leave and bequeath to my beloved wife namely all Cattles Hogs, plantation tools and so forth, &. I will and desire that this my last will and Testament may be in full force and my meaning understood without respect to the form. I leave and bequeath one Gun to my son Geraldus. I appoint my beloved brother Joseph King, and my beloved wife Unity King Executors of this my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof, I do hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of August, in the year of our Lord, and the 36th. Year of America's Independence In presence of the undernamed Witnesses E. L. Puesley Georgia Jefferson County At a Court of Ordinary held in and for the county aforesaid on the 4th day of November 1811 Personally appeared Elam Young one of the subscribers witness to the annexed Last Will and Testament of Charles King deceased and being duly Sworn and deposeth and Saith that he was present and did see the Testator sign and acknowledge the same to be and contain his last Will and Testament and that he was of sound and disposing mind and memory to the best of his knowledge and belief, and that John Puesley with this deposant did subscribe their names as witness therto in the presence of the Testator in each others presence Sworn to in open Court This 4th day November 1811 Elam Young Brian Nichols
