Elise Howard Aldrich, 80, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004 at Jenkins County 
Hospital.

Her funeral was held 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, in the chapel of Jake A. Futch 
Funeral Home in Statesboro with the Rev. Tom Osborn officiating. Burial was in 
the Eastside Cemetery.

Ms. Aldrich was a native of Evans County and lived most of her life in Bulloch 
County. She was a member of the Brooklet First Baptist Church and the Joel 
Minick Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the American Legion 
Auxiliary.

Survivors include a daughter, Delores (Randall) Thompson of Millen; a son, Dr. 
Nicky (Sharon) Shuman of Martinez and Statesboro; seven grandchildren, Shari 
(Bucky) Huiet of Trenton, S.C., Ben (Delaine) Thompson of Statesboro, Lisa 
(Dr. Sid) Morse of Ashville, N.C., Leigh (Dana) McLemore of Perkins, Miranda 
Shuman and Chris Shuman, both of Augusta, and Meredith (William) Calcote, also 
of Statesboro; nine great-grandchildren; and five nieces.

Pallbearers were Waldo Colson, David Barnes, Richard Deal, Carl Hunter, John 
Gould and Wendell Ellis.

Memorials may be sent to Statesboro Regional Library, 124 S. Main St., 
Statesboro, GA 30458.
