Minnie Lee Johnson (Nannie) Fries, 85, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 14, at the Millen Baptist Church. 
Burial followed in the Millen Cemetery.

Mrs. Fries was born in Jenkins County. She was a homemaker and a member of 
Millen Baptist Church for over 50 years where she attended the Reva Gay Sunday 
School Class. She received her greatest joy from her faith, her family, her 
cooking, her flowers and her travels.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Robert W. Fries Sr.; a son and 
daughter-in-law, Bobby and Sali Fries of Millen; four daughters and sons-in-
law, Margaret and Ed Parker of Augusta, Janice Pennington of Millen, Patricia 
and Joe Hillard of Dublin and Charlotte Fries and Tom Larsen of Fernandina 
Beach, Fla.; a sister, Nell Durden of Swainsboro; six grandchildren, Marisa 
Swierski, Wes Pennington, Jeff Pennington, Sid Parker, Jana Lee and Paige 
Williams; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by on grandson, Drew Fries.

Pallbearers were grandsons.
