A memorial service was held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Mrs. Ann Studer and Mrs. Naomi Dasher officiating. Mr. Riner, a native of Jenkins County, had lived in Pembroke for several years. He was an automobile mechanic. He retired from J.C. Lewis Ford after 15 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Pamela Riner of Pembroke; two sons, David Riner of Pooler and Michael Riner of Rincon; three daughters, Brenda Harrington of Marlow, Sharon Riner of Kentucky and Tanya Rodden of Ellabell; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
