Mr. Alvie E. Altman, 71, of Millen died Sunday, July 11, 2004 at the Medical 
College of Georgia in Augusta.

A memorial service was held Saturday, July 17.

Mr. Altman, an Emanuel County native, had lived in Millen since 1984. He was a 
member of the Millen Church of God. He spent many years employed as a 
carpenter.

Survivors include five sons, Alvie Altman, Danny Sessions, Chalmers Wilson, 
Milton Aspinwall and Charles Barrett; eight daughters, Louise (Paul) 
Fransioli, Debra Waller, Glenda (Ledell) Sheley, Bernice Allen, Kathy 
Aspinwall, Becky Chance, Sara (Dean) Parker and Treasa Teardon; three 
brothers, Danny Altman, Kenneth Altman and Roger Altman; a sister, Betty 
Lucille Rigrizuez; a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and other 
relatives and friends.
