Her funeral was held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at the Crowe-Fields Funeral Home with the Revs. Grady Hargrove and Jerry Hood officiating. The Rev. Gene Burrus furnished music for the service. Burial was in the Millen Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Screven County, but lived most of her life in Millen. She was a retired restaurant owner and a member of Big Horse Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Melvin Dickey of Millen; two daughters, Elise D. Williams of Davisboro and Delores D. Williams of Beaufort, S.C.; two brothers, Henry H. Wells of Millen and Willie Edward Wells of Savannah; a sister, Thelma Murray of Milledgeville; nine grandchildren, Melodye Dickey Williams and Beverly Dickey Joiner, both of Millen, Harriett Dickey Cato of Rincon, Eddie Eastmead of Midville, Beth Moore of Wadley, Sonya Kirkland of Summertown, Phil Eastmead of LaGrange, Sherry Wilcher of Louisville and Jerry Williams of Beaufort; 13 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
