McCullough Sr., 78, of Harlem, beloved husband of 58 years of Weesa Forehand McCullough, went to be with our heavenly Father Wednesday Jan. 19, 2005, leaving many loved ones and friends. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Saturday Jan. 22, at Powell Baptist Church, Harlem, with the Revs. Harold Ritchey and Randall Whitaker officiating. Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. in the Bascom Cemetery, Hiltonia. Mr. McCullough, a native of Millen, was the former owner of AllSouth Refrigeration. He was a Mason with the Landrum Masonic Lodge #48 for over 50 years. He was a member of the Powell Baptist Church. He was in the graduating class of 1943 from Millen High School and he attended the quarterly reunions faithfully. He was the son of the late Fred W. McCullough and Ila Oliver McCullough. He was preceded in death by two sons, Freddy McCullough and Ray McCullough. Survivors include his wife, Weesa Forehand McCullough; a son, Wallace Lee McCullough Jr. of Roswell; a daughter and son-in-law, Dale McCullough Daniel and Dale P. Daniel of Demorest; two adopted daughters, Farrar M. Payne and husband, Randy, of Harlem and Jennifer M. Pittman of Grovetown; a granddaughter, Michelle H. Haynes, and husband, Jeff, of Austell; grandsons Wallace Lee McCullough III of New Orleans, La. and Christopher L. McCullough and Sean D. McCullough, both of Alpharetta; great-grandchildren, Macie Pittman and Toby Pittman, both of Grovetown; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Nell and Allen Baker of Evans and Mary and Lew Stewart of Warner Robins; a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby A. and Jerrie McCullough of Martinez; and many other family members including nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles, and cousins throughout Georgia. Pallbearers were David Pavliscsak, Richard Baker, Chris Murphey, Robert McCullough, Chuck Meadows and Paul Morgan. Memorials may be sent to the Bascom Cemetery Fund, in care of Ray Forehand, 1449 Waynesboro Highway, Sylvania, GA 30467. Starling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
