Mr. Sapp was born in Burke County and spent most of his life in Jenkins County. He was a retired farmer and a Baptist. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday October 21, 2004 at the DeLoach-Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Grady Hargrove officiating and burial following at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Sapp was preceded in death by his son, Roy E. Sapp in 2004. He is survived by one daughter Runnette S. Smith, Millen; six sons Richard D. Sapp, Keysville; Robert D. Sapp, Millen; Raymond W. Sapp, Mechanicsville, Md.; Ruwis H. Sapp, Albany, GA; Russell J. Sapp, Huntingtown, Md. and Randall V. Sapp of Pensacola, Fla. He is also survived by his brother Lester Sapp, Midville; 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The following gentlemen have been asked to be pallbearers: Shayne Sapp, Joey Sapp, Robert Sapp, Roy Sapp, Sr., Andy Sapp, Scott Sapp, Jeff Sapp, Rodney Sapp and Roy Sapp, Jr. The family will receive friends from 7 - 9 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at the DeLoach-Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel.
