Teddy Benjamin Smith, 54, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2004.

Funeral services were held 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at Elam Baptist Church 
with Dr. Maurice Crowder and the Rev. Bill Brown officiating. 

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Smith was a native of Tatnall County, a retired truck driver, a veteran of 
the U.S. Navy and a member of Elam Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by 
his father, Palmer Smith, and brother, Freddie Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey Jessie Smith; his children, Teddy Smith, 
Freddie Smith, Jerry Smith, Becky Smith and Benjy Smith; his mother, Leta Gay 
Smith; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews, including Felice J. 
Jenkins.

Active pallbearers were Ben Gay, Grady Royal, Harry Gay, Benny Kersey, Mathew 
Miles, Gary Smith, Don Smith and Michael Burke.
