Located in the extreme northwest section of Johnson 
County. Go 8 1/2 miles west from Wrightsville city limits 
on highway 57 and turn left at the paved crossroads marked 
Ivey's Chapel. Travel 2.1 miles and turn right onto field 
road which is located directly in front of the old John B. 
Wright homeplace. Continue on the field road .4 miles and 
the cemetery can easily be sen to the right.

Additional Comments:
The John B. Wright cemetery was deeded as a cemetery by John B. Wright on 12 
November 1845, when his son John was buried. This cemetery is divided into two 
sections: The John B. Wright family section and the slave section. Both are 
enclosed with decorative iron fences or were in 1978 when the survey was 
conducted.
