                               Mrs. Audrey Carter

 Mrs. Audrey B. Fields Carter, 54, a resident of  Winter Haven and a former 
resident of Tampa, died in Winter Haven yesterday morning. A native of Georgia, 
she is survived by her husband, Charlie B. Carter, Wimter Haven; her mother, 
Mrs. Mary Higgs, Tampa; four sons, Carl Fields, Tampa, Archie Fields, Miami, 
Edward Fields, Tarpon Springs, and Wayne Fields, Sarasota; two daughters, Mrs. 
Doris Wright and Mrs. Gail Phillips, both of Tampa; three brothers, Gene Higgs, 
St. Petersburg, James Higgs, Jacksonville, and William E. Higgs, Tampa; and 11 
grandchildren.



Funeral Notice: The Tampa Tribune, 22 Sep 1962

CARTER, MRS. AUDREY B.----Funeral services for Mrs. Audrey B. Carter, 54, 
resident of Winter Haven, Fla., and a former resident of Tampa, who passed away 
in a Winter Haven hospital Thursday morning, will be held Saturday afternoon at 
2:00pm at Marsicano Funeral Home, 4040 Henderson Blvd. Rev. Joseph P. Jensen of 
Winter Haven will officiate. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Additional Comments:
Audrey was born abt 1906 to Jack Homer Higgs and Mary A. Townsend Higgs.
