(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net March 12, 2011, 11:26 am The Dublin Courier Herald 11-4-1977 Mrs. Luella Claxton Mrs. Luella Claxton, 72 of Rt. 1 Dublin, died Thursday night in a Macon hospital after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00pm at Moore St. Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Weeks and Rev. Lester Pritchett officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery in Wrightsville. A native of Johnson County, Mrs. Claxton was a housewife and a member of the Moore Street Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Velma Price, Macon, Mrs. Edna Baggett, Dudley, Mrs. Lance Martin, Sautier, Miss., Mrs. Gail Drake, Dublin; two sons, J. P. Claxton and M. L. Claxton, both of Macon; one brother, Grady Hall, Kite; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Stanley and Sons Funeral Home of Dublin is in charge of arrangements. NOTE---This obituary is typed as written; however, the name should be Louella. Additional Comments: Louella was born 8 Dec 1904 to Manning Hall and Mary Rowland Hall. Georgia death certificate #035905. Her husband was Milton Little Claxton Sr. who is also buried at Westview Cemetery.
