                      Mrs. Zack Claxton Sr.
 Mrs. Zack J. (Mary Tapley) Claxton Sr., 77, Route 4, Box 634, Belair Road, 
died Thursday in a Richmond County hospital.
 The funeral will be held at 4pm Saturday at Thomas L. King Funeral Home 
Chapel with the Rev. J. R. Wheeler and the Rev. Midas Brantley officiating. 
Burial will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
 Mrs. Claxton was a native of Johnson County, but lived in Augusta 14 years. 
She was a member of Hope Chapel Christian Church.
 Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Shirley Anne Hall and Mrs. 
Joanne C. Cushman, Martinez, Ga.; five sons, Eddie B. Claxton, Waynesboro, 
Ga., Billy M. Claxton and Glenn P. Claxton, Martinez, Franklin R. Claxton, 
North Augusta, SC, and Z. J. Claxton Jr., Grovetown, Ga.; and two sisters, 
Sallie Geter, Martinez and Eunice Howard, Augusta.
 Friends may call at the funeral home.

Mary Jane was born 17 Feb 1903 to Frank N. Tapley and Laney A. Minton Tapley.
