(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net September 6, 2009, 9:43 am The Wrightsville Headlight 7-28-1994 Page 2A Willie Marvin Clements Funeral services for Willie Marvin Clements, 90, of Route 2 Wrightsville, were held at 4pm Monday, July 25, at Mount Olive Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Doyle Smith and the Rev. Terry Mills officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Clements died Saturday, July 23 in a Johnson County nursing home. A lifetime resident of Johnson County, Mr. Clements was the son of the late Marcus Casewell and Olla Palmer Clements and was married to the late Ruby Lee Foskey Clements. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Mount Olive Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include seven sons, Marvin D. Clements, J. Wadell Clements, J. Gerald Clements, and Charles E. Clements, all of Wrightsville, and Ronnie H. Clements and Mahon Clements of Kite; two daughters, Lois L. Poole of Wrightsville and Elizabeth C. Tyson of Dublin; one sister, Ester Sammons of Scott; 30 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great- grandchildren. Mr. Clements grandsons served as pallbearers. Honorary escorts included the Senior Adult Sunday School class of Mount Olive Church of the Nazarene. Sammons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
