(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net August 27, 2009, 3:32 pm The Swainsboro Blade 3-17-1993 Page 4A Tom Cobb, 79 ADRIAN----Funeral for Tom Cobb, 79, will be held at 2pm today (Wednesday) from the chapel of Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary, Swainsboro. The Rev. James Willis will officiate assisted by the Rev. Donnie Bush and the Rev. Johnny Cross. Burial will be in Piney Mt. Church Cemetery near Kite. He died Monday in Emanuel County Hospital, Swainsboro, following a long illness. A native of Johnson County, Mr. Cobb was a retired farmer. He was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church near Kite. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Christine Petty Cobb of Adrian; two step- daughters, Lynda Becker of Chicago, Ill and Tina Brennan of Phoenix, Ariz.; two step-sons, Ralph Smith and Lee Durden, both of Swainsboro; nine grandchildren and one niece. Pallbearers will be Junior Skipper, Larry Williams, Hubert Mathis, Roy Douglas, Gene Cross, and Raymond Grant. Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary of Swainsboro had charge of arrangements.
