(Daisy Tyson) Cooper, 76, of 1902 Fifteenth St. died Saturday in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 5pm today in Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Telfair Street Chapel, with the Rev. Aubrey Jones officiating, assisted by the Rev. Lloyd Green. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. She was a native of Johnson County, but had lived in Augusta most of her life. She was the former owner and operator of the Country Cafe and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; five sons, Buford Cooper, Laymond Cooper, and Grady Cooper, Tampa, Fla., Harold Cooper, El Paso, Tex., and Farold Cooper, Augusta; three daughters, Mrs. J. W. Spivey, Macon, Ga., Mrs. Virginia Beckett and Mrs. W. A. Gardner, Augusta; and three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Keen, Savannah, Ga., Mrs. Callie Coleman, Pensacola, Fla., and Mrs. Ann Harrell, Louisville, Ga. Pallbearers will include her grandsons; Ted Kandler, Lee Cooper, Jerry Cooper, Larry Bordlon, and Jimmy Spivey. Friends may call at 2352 Sumace Drive or at the funeral home.
