(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net December 27, 2008, 12:02 pm The Wrightsville Headlight 5-14-1981 Page 2A Mrs. Ammie Foskey Mrs. Ammie Foskey, 78, of Scott, died in a Dublin hospital Tuesday, May 5, 1981, after a long illness. Mrs. Foskey was a native of Johnson County and was a daughter of the late John M. Thomas and the late Nancy Mimbs Thomas. She was a member of Silver Leaf Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Jessie Foskey; two step-daughters, Mrs. Ruby Young and Mrs. Lavonia Robinson, Tennille; four sisters, Mrs. Maud Richardson, Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Billy Williams, Soperton, Mrs. Baum Wilkes Jr., Augusta, and Mrs. Eddie Beacham, Dublin. Also surviving are four brothers, Kenneth Thomas and Theron Thomas, Scott, Alton Thomas, Dublin, and Paul Thomas, Statesboro; three stepsisters, Mrs. Clayton Pope, Dublin, Mrs. Lonzy Chafin, Rockledge, and Mrs. Trudie Chafin, Tifton; ten step-grandchildren; and fourteen step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted in Silver Leaf Primitive Baptist Church at 3PM Thursday afternoon, May 7, with Elder T. J. McMurrain and Elder Fred Scott officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Sammons Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Doyle Thomas, Charles Thomas, Winfred Thomas, Arthur Foskey Jr., Earl Foskey, and Remus Foskey.
