Foskey Sr., 69, who died unexpectedly at his home in Wadley, Friday March 6, were held at Wadley Methodist Church at 3PM Sunday, the Rev. Vernon Edwards and the Rev. Tom Harrison officiating. Burial was in Wadley Cemetery. Mr. Foskey, although only living here for a few years, was highly esteemed and an excellent craftsman and expert at refinishing furniture. He made his home in Woodland Heights and friends and relatives are saddened by his sudden death. Survivors include five sons, Lamar and Thurston Foskey, both of Wadley, Ray Paul and Fluker Foskey, both of Miami Florida, and John F. Foskey Jr. of Warner Robins; three daughters, Mrs. Lyman Johnson and Mrs. Morris Suddath, both of Macon, and Mrs. Charles Everett of Tennille; five brothers, Tommy, Sam, and Verlie Foskey, all of Soperton, Jack Foskey of St. Mary's, and Melvin Foskey of Macon; three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Beasly of Dublin, Mrs. Mary Lou Powell and Mrs. Elvie Gills, both of Soperton; 14 grandchildren and 1 great- grandchild. Sympathy of many friends is extended to the family. Additional Comments: John was born 8-15-1894 to Wesley Thomas Foskey Sr. and Nancy Ann "Nana" Spivey Foskey. His wife, Vertie Spence Foskey died 3-2-1962 and is also buried at the Wadley Cemetery.
