Funeral services were held Sunday in the Piney Mount Methodist Church near Wrightsville with the Revs. Ralph Haywood and M. F. Price officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery in Wrightsville. A native of Johnson County, he was retired from the trucking business and a former store operator. He served a s warden of the Johnson County prison for many years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marie Fountain, Winder; four daughters, Mrs. Laura Dell Brumback, Porter, Texas, Mrs. Bunette Peeler, Tallahasse, Fla., Mrs. Betty Roberts, Sparta, and Mrs. Alma Jean Corbett; three brothers, George Fountain, Columbus, Cecil Fountain, Gainesville, and J. A. Fountain, McIntyre; four sisters, Mrs. Iris Bryant, Ft. Valley, Mrs. Hilda Seals, Adrian, Mrs. Sarah Hulsey, Dublin, and Mrs. Nell Smith, Byron. Pallbearers were grandsons. Stanley and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Thomas was born 31 Dec 1900 to John A. "Bud" Fountain and Lillie Alice Rowland Fountain. His first wife was Lena Stewart Fountain Edison who is buried in West View Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia.
