                            Ernest W. Franks
Wrightsville - Ernest W. Franks, 89, died Tuesday morning in an Effingham 
County care facility. 
Born in Washington County, he was the son of George Quentin and Frances 
Elizabeth Morris Franks. Mr. Franks spent many years in Brunswick working as a 
carpenter foreman for A. C. Oliver Construction Company with whom he built 
many houses in and around St. Simons, Sea Island, and Jekyll Islands. He was a 
member and former deacon of Brown Memorial Baptist Church. He was preceded in 
death by his wife, Carrie Price Franks and a son, Ernest Edward Franks. 
Survivors: son, Hershel B. Franks of Rincon; daughter, Carolyn F. Youmans of 
Dallas, GA; brother, James Roy Franks of Brunswick; six grandchildren and six 
great-grandchildren. 
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p. m. Wednesday at the funeral home. 
Funeral Services: 2:00 p. m. Thursday at Brown Memorial Church. 
Burial: Westview Cemetery. Rev. Matt Chance will officiate. 
Stanley Funeral Home Wrightsville
