Hall, 86, of Route 1 Kite, died Friday, January 12, in a Swainsboro hospital after an extended illness. Services were held at 3pm Sunday in Rehoboth Baptist Church near Kite. Burial was in Corinth United Methodist Church Cemetery near Meeks. The Rev. James Willis officiated. A native of Johnson County, Mrs. Hall was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church and was the daughter of the late Bryant B. Steptoe and Rosa Meeks Steptoe. Survivors include two daughters, Gale Grant of Kite and Essie Ree Bass of Live Oak, Fla.; two sons,Hubert S. Hall of Twin City and Grady Hall of Jackson, SC; a stepmother, Lessie B. Steptoe of Kite; a brother, Elbert Steptoe of Swainsboro; two half brothers, Johnny Steptoe and James Steptoe, both of Kite; a step sister, Louise Munoz of Dexter; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Stanley Funeral Home in Wrightsville was in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Pearlee was born 6 Sep 1903. Georgia death certificate #004311. Her husband was Melvin Tanner Hall who is also buried at Corinth United Methodist Church Cemetery.
