                             Lee Hammock, 78
 Lee Hammcok, 78, died Sunday in Emanuel County Hospital after an extended 
illness.
 The funeral was held at 3pm Tuesday from the chapel of Peebles-Curry 
Mortuary, Swainsboro. The Rev. Jack McCullogh officiated. Burial was in the 
Corinth United Methodist Church Cemetery.
 A native of Johnson County, Mr. Hammock was a retired farmer and was a member 
of Corinth United Methodist Church.
 Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Elaine Smith of Adrian, Mrs. Ann 
Peebles, Mrs. Sharon Whitehead, and Mrs. Martha Flanders, all of Swainsboro, 
and Mrs. Jackie Carlton of Dublin; nine grandchildren; and seven great-
grandchildren.
 Pallbearers were Hugh Foskey, Earl Morris, O. C. Hutcheson, Thetus Braswell, 
Carl Reese, John Allen Bailey, Phil Foskey, and Dick Carter.
 Peebles-Curry Mortuary of Swainsboro had charge of arrangements.
