Services will be held at 11am today in Macon Memorial Park. The Rev. Grady Stokes will officiate. A native of Johnson County, Mr. Hoover lived in Lizella most of his life. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a retired employee of Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of Gordon Masonic Lodge No. 108, Waverly Hall, the Order of the Eastern Star, and Macon Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lucile D. Hoover of Lizella; two sons, Dennie Pace of Macon and Wayne Hoover of Lizella; three sisters, Virginia Odom of Adrian, and Margaret Haywood and Louise Smith, both of Scott; and several grandchildren. The family may be contacted at the residence. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Central Georgia, PO Box 6533, Macon, Ga. 31208, The Thomas C. Burke Foundation, 182 Riley Avenue, Macon, Ga. 31204, or the Order of the Eastern Star, Grand Chapter Secreatry, Columbus. Hart's Mortuary has charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Byron was born 27 Oct 1924 to Henry Lofton Hoover and Eva Foskey Hoover. His first wife was Virginia Fay Braddy Hoover who is buried at Piney Mount Cemetery in Johnson County, Ga. Georgia death certificate #042400.
