Masonic rites will be conducted by Central Georgia Masonic Memorial Association. Johnson, 84, died Tuesday, February 18, 2003. He worked as an auto mechanic for many years, and owned a Service Station on Montpelier Avenue next to Miller School and a Garage on Houston Avenue. After retirement, he could be found at Smiley's Flea Market. He was a member of Glenwood Hills Baptist Church and was a fifty-year Mason, Marshall Weir Lodge. Survivors include his grandchildren, Tony Long Jr. of Fishersville, Va., Jennifer Long of Athens, Ga., and Christy Long of Chicago. Ill.; sister, Myrtice Logue od Apopka, Fl.; and good friend, Carol Davis of Macon. His wife, Monteen Johnson; daughters, Betty Jean Johnson and Joyce Johnson Long; his grandaughter, Tonya Lynn Long; and his parents, Vernon Johnson and Leslie Meeks Johnson, precede him in death. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm tonight at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue, and may be contacted at 1175 Walker Road, Macon. Additional Comments: Lyman was born 5-10-1918.
