Funeral services were held Nov. 8 at Mount Olive Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Reid Davis and Rev. John Yoder officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mr. Mimbs was a lifelong resident of Johnson County, a farmer, and a Primitive Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Gladys Mimbs; six daughters, Leotha Martin and Travis Carroll, Warner Robins, Dorcas Carroll, Wrightsville,Ga., Bernita Jenkins, Orange Park, Fla., Nannie Mae Branch, Rockledge, Ga., and Margie Lee Powell, Adrian; a son, Wesley Mimbs, Wrightsville; a brother, Harvel T. Mimbs, Warner Robins and a sister Pearl Miller, Warner Robins. Honorary pallbearers were: Junior McDaniel, Roscoe Foskey, Wesley Haywood, Harvey Thompson, Roland Attaway, Cecil Herringdine, Gordon Smith, and Lonnie Smith. Active pallbearers were: Don Garnto, Garland Donaldson, Henry Donaldson, Shelton Mimbs, Robert Sisa, and Michael Mimbs. Stanley Funeral Home of Wrightsville was in charge of the arrangements.
