Mrs. Stella Harrison Vanlandingham, wife of Mr. John W. Vanlandingham died Tuesday at her home in this county after an illness of several days of puerperal fever, and was buried Wednesday at Beulah church of which church she was a member. Rev. W. E. Harville, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Vanlandingham was the daughter by a former wife of Mr. W. H. Harrison, of this county. She was comparatively a young woman, and possessed many excellent traits of character. She was a consistent member of the Baptist church, and was ever faithful to her church duties. Mrs. Vanlandingham resided for some time in this city, and while here formed many friends who will regret to learn of her death. Besides her father, she is survived by her husband and seven small children, the youngest an infant about ten days old, a sister and brother, and a large circle of friends. The death of Mrs. Vanlandingham is peculiarly sad, in as much as she leaves so many small children who are bereft of a mothers love and tender care. May "He, who tempers the wind to the shorn lamb," be the comforter. Much sympathy goes out to the bereaved family.
