Thompson francist@mindspring.com November 15, 2003, 11:42 pm The Wrightsville Headlight, September 2, 1915, page 1 DEATH OF RENO VANLANDINGHAM After an extended illness of several weeks from typhoid fever, Mr. Reno Vanlandingham died last Monday 30th, at his home near Red Hill, in this county and was buried Tuesday at New Home church, Rev. Cowart assisted by Revs. Reese Griffin and Little, officiating. Mr. Vanlandingham was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Vanlandingham, who reside near Wrightsville and a brother of Mr. John Vanlandingham of this city. He was a man of excellent principals and high moral character and was esteemed by all who knew him, he was a christian and a faithful member of the Methodist church, and was well and favorable known in Wrightsville, where he attended school when quite a young man, and the announcement of his death will be regretted by many friends here. He leaves a widow and six children, besides his parents a brother, a sister and other relatives who deplore is untimely death. Much sympathy is extended the bereaved family.
