Mary Ellis was married to Polly's brother John Samuel Jones of Taylor Co. There's no mention of what newspaper this might be although probably the Macon Telegraph because they lived in Bibb County. There is a handwritten note of "June 23, 1940 Buried June 24, 1940" at the top. Jones Final Rites Held in Afternoon Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ellis Jones, wife of J. S. Jones 558 Elm Street, who died Sunday morning after an illness of several months, were held this afternoon in the Burghard-Connally chapel. The Rev. William Worth Williams, officiated. Burial was in Bethel Church cemetery near Lizella. Pallbearers were H. M. Ellis, J. E. Ellis, I. E. Ellis, J. D. Jones, Elijah Jones and E. S. Chapman. Mrs. Jones was born May 28, 1912, in Washington County. She moved to Macon from Laurens county about five years ago. An infant born to her died last week. Survivors include two sons, Herbert Myers and Irvin Myers, and a daughter, Mary Helen Myers, all by her first marriage; four brother, H. M., I. E. and J. E. Ellis, Macon and O. T. Ellis, Reidsville; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Lou Shirley, Dudley; Mrs. Mamie E. Myers, Macon, and Mrs. Dovie Adams Ellis, Los Angeles. Additional Comments: I did not find this in the Bible. Have no idea why this was in my program. I am just submitting this because it is here and I hope someome will recognize it.
