BESSIE REESE HOMEMAKER Mrs. Bessie Mae Foster Reese, 86, of Route 1, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 1996, at Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ivey Chapel Baptist Church, with the Revs. Phil Wilson, Ralph Lumley and Walton Logue officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery. Mrs. Reese, a lifelong resident of Johnson, was a homemaker and a member of Moores Chapel Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons, Richard T. Reese, Dublin, Wade H. Reese, Slidell, La., and Winifred C. Reese, Wrightsville; six daughters, Geneva Reardon, Mildred Smith and Doyce Lumley, all of Wrightsville, Verma Deitrich, Abbington, Va., Dorothy Rueker, Fayetteville, and Joyce Green, Oxford; and 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Stanley Funeral Home. Additional Comments: Bessie was born 27 Apr 1909 to Wade Harris Foster and Nancy Jane Carter Foster. Her husband was Elmer Clarence Reese who is also buried in Westview Cemetery.
