The Rev. R. C. Smith officiated at services conducted at Rehoboth Baptist Church near Kite. Kent Funeral Home was in charge. A native of Johnson County, Mrs. Sammons was married to the late M. Gordon Sammons in 1904. She is survived by seven children: Seab Sammons and M. G. Sammons Jr, city, Mrs. Inez Barrett of Adrian, Mrs. Diva Harrison and Miss Lois Sammons of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. LaVern Compton of Mobile, Ala., and Mrs. Mattie Cora Morris of Valdosta; one brother, Arthur Tapley of Live Oak, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Pauline Tanner of Jacksonville, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 3 great- grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
