                            Mrs. Naomi Sammons, 87
 WADLEY -- Final rites for Mrs. Naomi Sammons, 87, were conducted at 2PM Monday 
from Gumlog Primitive Baptist Church near Kite. The Rev. Tommy McGee officiated 
with burial in the church cemetery.
 Naomi died Saturday in Emanuel County Hospital, Swainsboro.
 Mrs. Sammons was a native of Johnson County. She was a homemaker and a member 
of Gumlog Primitive Baptist Church.
 Survivors include a son, Barney Sammons of Wadley; a daughter, Mary Watkins of 
Albany; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
 Pallbearers were Wayne Watkins, Larry Watkins, Greg Gaston, Brent Hall, Jason 
Handy, and Johnny Handy.
 Smith Funeral Home of Swainsboro had charge of arrangements.

Additional Comments:
Naomi was born 29 Jan 1907 to James William "Jimmy" Tapley and Mary Jane 
Wheeler Tapley, both buried in Gumlog Church Cemetery in Kite, Ga.
