The Rev. Tommy McGee officiated with burial in the church cemetery. Naomi died Saturday in Emanuel County Hospital, Swainsboro. Mrs. Sammons was a native of Johnson County. She was a homemaker and a member of Gumlog Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Barney Sammons of Wadley; a daughter, Mary Watkins of Albany; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Wayne Watkins, Larry Watkins, Greg Gaston, Brent Hall, Jason Handy, and Johnny Handy. Smith Funeral Home of Swainsboro had charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Naomi was born 29 Jan 1907 to James William "Jimmy" Tapley and Mary Jane Wheeler Tapley, both buried in Gumlog Church Cemetery in Kite, Ga.
