The Rev. R. C. Smith will officiate at the services at Rehobeth Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Relatives will act as pallbearers. A retired Johnson County farmer, Mr. Sammons had lived here all of his life. He died at Rawlings Hospital in Sandersville July 6 after an illness of four weeks. He is survived by his wife, the former Nettie Tapley, to whom he was married in 1904. Seven children also survive: Seab Sammons and M. G. Sammons Jr., both of Route 3 Wrightsville; Mrs. E. B. Barrett of Route 3 Adrian; Mrs. V. E. Harrison and Miss Lois Sammons, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; Mrs. C. B. Compton of Mobile, Ala.; and Mrs. T. C. Morris of Pinetta, Fla. Kent Funeral Home was in charge. Additional Comments: Gordon was born 10 Jan 1886 to William M. "Uncle Billy" Sammons and Fannie Sefronia "Fronie" Dixon Sammons bot buried in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Soperton, Ga. Georgia death Certificate #16865.
