                             Willie Smith
 COLLINS--- Services for Mr. Willie Daniel Smith, 78, of Rt. 1 PO Box 1105 
Collins, are scheduled for Friday at 10AM in the chapel of Townsend Brothers 
Funeral Home with burial following in Dublin Memorial Gardens with Masonic 
rites at the grave. The Revs. Tommy Pullium and Douglas Bush will officiate.
 A native of Johnson County, Mr. Smith was the son of the late George Marvin 
Smith and Sennie Stewart Smith. He was a Laurens County resident for 25 years 
before moving to Collins and was retired form the US Air Force and Robins Air 
Force Base. he was a member of Laurens Lodge #75 F&AM and of the Shamrock Sams 
Camping Club. He was a charter member and deacon of Pinehurst Drive Baptist 
Church. Mr. Smith died Wednesday in a Dublin hospital.
 Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Swinson Smith of Collins; son and daughter-
in-law, Carmen and Wanda Snith of Collins; grandchildren, Jonathan Smith, Matt 
Smith, and DeNann Smith, all of Collins and several nieces and nephews.
 Pallbearers will be John B. Shannon, Wesley Couey, Larry Johnson, Fred 
Braswell, Howard Swinson, and Charles Swinson.
 The family will receive friends tonight from 6 until 8 at Townsend Brothers 
Funeral Home, which has charge of arrangements.
