(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net April 29, 2009, 2:13 pm The Dublin Courier Herald Dispatch & News 4-29-1936 Page 6 Mrs. Soles Laid Rest Beloved Johnson County Woman Buried at Base Springs SCOTT, Ga., April,29---Funeral services for Mrs. Fronie Soles, well known and beloved Johnson County lady were held Saturday at 11 o'clock at Base Springs Baptist Church, with Rev. R. S. W. Johnson conducting the funeral rites. Deceased passed away at her home near Wrightsville Friday, April 24. after having been ill for about three years with internal cancer. Mrs. Soles was a native of Johnson County having been born and reared near Scott. She was the daughter of Abram Clements, who settled in the county in 1850. She was born on Feb. 14. 1877 and married to W. W. Soles, a native of North Carolina, in 1891 and in 1892 they came to this section, spending all their lives in Johnson with the exception of six years in Treutlen County. Deceased was a faithful member of Base Springs Church for about 25 years. Mrs. Soles is survived by her husband, W. W. Soles, nine sons, John, Duff, Clayton, Elzie, Henry, Harvie, Louie, Wilde, and Cradle and one daughter, Mrs. Mamie M. Foskey; and two brothers, Jim and Mark Clements, and a host of friends also mourn her passing. Note--This obituary is typed as written. The cemetery is Bay Springs, not Base Springs.
