Spivey Sr., 73, of 3908 Ridge Avenue died Sunday at his residence. Services will be held at 2pm Tuesday in Cherokee Heights Baptist Church. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park. The Rev. Len Strozier will officiate. A native of Johnson County, Mr. Spivey lived in Macon for the past 48 years and was a retired civil service employee and worker in material management at Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of Cherokee Heights Baptist Church and was a World War II Army veteran. He was the son of the late Allen Hightower Spivey and Martha Ivey Spivey. Survivors include his wife, Zadie C. Spivey of Macon; two sons, J. W. Spivey Jr. of Warner Robins and Dr. Jimmy A. Spivey of Covington; two sisters, Nora Hudson of Sebring, Fla. and Vinne Blount of Tanpa, Fla.; and six grandchildren. The family may be contacted at the residence. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cherokee Heights Baptist Church Building Fund, 2656 Napier Avenue, Macon 31204.
