Sweat Sr., 43, of Dublin Route 1, will be held Friday afternoon, February 22, at three o'clock from Poplar Springs Baptist Church North with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in State at the church at two PM Friday and remain until funeral time. Rev. Tom Harrison will officiate with Townsend Brothers Funeral Home directing and nephews of the deceased serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Sweat, a resident of the Route 1 Dublin community for several years, was born in Johnson County and was the former Miss Eula Mae Foskey, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Foskey of Johnson County. She was a member of the Smith Chapel Church near Adrian. She died Wednesday afternoon at her residence after a sudden illness. Survivors include her husband, Bassil L. Sweat Sr.; two children, Hulon E. and Bassill L. Jr., both of Route 1 Dublin; one sister, Mrs. Leroy Mimbs of Wrightsville; five brothers, Calvin and Rosco Foskey of Scott, Grabiel and Albert Foskey of Wrightsville, and Clifford Foskey of Blackshear. Additional Comments: Eula Mae was born 10-15-1913 to Christopher Columbus "C. C. " Foskey and Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Toler Foskey. Georgia death certificate #3870.
